Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
How to Use
How do you make an espresso martini with GRADA?
Add 100ml GRADA to a shaker.
Shake hard with ice.
Fine strain into a chilled coupe.
That’s it.
No vodka.
No fresh espresso.
No added sugar.
Do I need to add vodka to GRADA to make an espresso martini?
No.
GRADA already contains alcohol. It is bottled at 16% ABV, intentionally calibrated to produce a bar-quality espresso martini without adding vodka.
When shaken with ice, the drink dilutes to approximately 12% ABV, which is standard bar-spec strength for an espresso martini.
You do not need higher ABV vodka to “correct” it. The balance is already built in.
Do I need to add fresh espresso?
No.
GRADA is perfectly balanced as it is. You do not need to add additional concentrated coffee or other flavours to achieve structure.
Why is 16% ABV the ideal strength?
16% ABV is deliberate.
When shaken, dilution brings the drink to roughly 12% ABV - delivering proper cocktail strength without excessive alcohol burn or unnecessary dilution.
It’s designed to perform in a shaker.
Can I drink GRADA neat?
Yes.
Serve over ice in a short glass with a cube. Think espresso martini flavour, without the shake - convenient, fast, sessionable.

Why doesn’t GRADA taste as sweet as other coffee liqueurs?
Because it is not designed to be syrup.
It is designed to behave like coffee - balanced, structured and clean.

We use specialty grade coffee sourced from ethical farms in Brazil.
