Description
Specialty coffee liqueur. Hot extracted in Melbourne. The single-ingredient espresso martini.
GRADA 01 Single Origin is a specialty-grade coffee liqueur, hot extracted at 93°C from beans grown by Pedro at Fazenda Pinhal in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Sixth-generation family farm. Blended with Australian vodka. 16% ABV. Made in Melbourne.
Awarded IWSC 2024 Gold Medal. 96/100.
Most espresso martinis take three things: an espresso shot, a vodka pour and a coffee liqueur. GRADA collapses all three into one bottle.
Shake 100ml of GRADA over ice for 5 seconds. Strain into a chilled coupe. That is the cocktail. No espresso machine. No vodka bottle. No coffee liqueur on the side. One pour. One cocktail. Cocktail-bar-grade at home.
Why hot extracted
GRADA is not a cold brew. We hot extract at 93°C — the same temperature your barista pulls a great espresso. That gives the liqueur full-bodied crema, real sweetness and the kind of texture cold brew cannot reach.
Tasting notes
Dark chocolate, brown sugar, stone fruit. Long, clean finish. Less sweet than the category. More body than cold brew.

How do you make an espresso martini with GRADA?
Add 100ml GRADA to a shaker.
Shake hard with ice.
Fine strain into a chilled coupe.
That’s it.
No vodka.
No fresh espresso.
No added sugar.
Do I need to add vodka?
No.
GRADA already contains alcohol. It is bottled at 16% ABV, intentionally calibrated to produce a bar-quality espresso martini.
When shaken with ice, it dilutes to approximately 12% ABV, which is standard bar strength.
You do not need higher ABV vodka to correct it. The balance is already built in.
Do I need to add fresh espresso?
No.
GRADA is perfectly balanced on its own. No additional coffee or sugar is required.
Can I drink GRADA neat?
Yes.
Serve over ice in a short glass with a cube. Think espresso martini flavour, without the shake - convenient and sessionable.
Is GRADA cold brew?
No.
GRADA is hot extracted using a full immersion method, allowing us to use less sugar while maintaining depth and structure.
Is GRADA caffeinated?
Yes.
It contains natural caffeine at roughly the level of a standard long black.
Why doesn’t GRADA taste as sweet as other coffee liqueurs?
Because it is not designed to be syrup.
It is built coffee first, with balanced ABV and sugar so it performs on its own.
Where is the coffee sourced from?
Specialty grade coffee from Minas Gerais, Brazil, specifically Fazenda Pinhal.
Shelf life and storage?
Unopened bottles are shelf stable for over 12 months.
Once opened, best consumed within 12 months. Refrigeration is recommended but not required.
On the rocks, or shaken over ice for an espresso martini, either way superb and a party favourite at our house. Going to buy more, yum yum yum!!

A great drink for coffee liqueur lovers. The nicest I’ve had.

Truly the best espresso martini I've ever had. Shaken at home with nothing but ice. Single origin, hot brewed and pure.
